The Latinos in Bio Programs Committee is excited to announce its Leadership Development Programs. The goal of these programs is to propel the next generation of leaders into positions of responsibility in the life sciences and help make our industry more impactful and equitable at all levels. We believe that by growing the presence of the fastest growing demographic in the US, our industry will develop therapeutics, devices and diagnostics that increase efficacy and impact for everyone. These powerful and impactful programs will support all professionals at all levels and are open to all who are interested in participating.

Mentorship Program
The Latinos in Bio Mentorship Program is designed to support career growth by connecting emerging professionals with experienced industry leaders. Through structured guidance, networking, and one-on-one mentorship, participants gain valuable insights to advance their careers in the life sciences sector.
Estimated Participants: ~40 Mentees
Application Timeline: A call for Mentees and Mentors will be announced to LiB Members in February/March.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Mentees: Professionals at the Associate, Analyst, Manager, or Associate Director levels.
- Mentors: Senior leaders at the Senior Director, VP, SVP, President, or C-Suite levels.
Matching Process: The LiB Programs Committee will facilitate Mentee-Mentor pairings.
Program Cost & Sponsorship Inclusions
- Mentee Fee: $250 (covered by companies or paid out-of-pocket)
- Included in Sponsorship Packages:
- Platinum & Gold Sponsors: 2 Mentee spots
- Silver Sponsors: 1 Mentee spot
Program Structure & Key Dates
- Kickoff Session: April 3, 4:00–5:00 PM ET (Virtual)
- Midpoint Check-In: May 8, 4:00–5:00 PM ET (Virtual)
- Off-Boarding Session: June 26, 4:00–5:00 PM ET (Virtual)
- One-on-One Mentorship Meetings:
- Recommended 12-week program
- Weekly 1-hour meetings (virtual or in-person)
C-Suite & Board Ready Program
The Latinos in Bio C-Suite & Board Ready Program is designed to empower professionals aspiring to executive leadership and corporate board roles. Participants gain essential skills, strategic insights, and the confidence needed to excel at the highest levels.
2.5 Full Days of In-Person Sessions with Seasoned Speakers
- Annual FALL Cohorts
- Dates: November 12-14, 2025
- Location: Boston/Cambridge, Massachusetts
Cost: $1,500/participant* (reimbursed by companies or out-of-pocket)
- 2 Free Participants included in Platinum Sponsorships
- 1 Free Participant included in Gold Sponsorships*
- Program cost only. Travel or other expenses will need be covered separately
Est. ~20 Participants:
- Call for Registrations to go out to LiB Members in late August via Constant Contact with a Link to the Application Form
- Selection Criteria: Director, Senior Director, VP, SVP, President, and C-level executive levels
Prelim. Program Design:
- Nov 12 – Day 1: Welcome Dinner Reception
- Nov 13 – Day 2: Morning sessions, lunch, afternoon sessions and networking dinner (Full day)
- Nov 14 – Day 3: Morning sessions, networking lunch and early afternoon sessions (Full day), followed by the LiB Gala
- Content will include Keynotes, slide presentations, workshops, and panel discussions
- All participants are invited to the Gala as a part of their participation in the program

We’re excited to announce our partnership with Project On-Ramp, a program by Life Science Cares that opens doors for under resourced students to gain paid internships and career-building experiences in the life sciences industry. Project On-Ramp provides talented, motivated college students—many of whom are first-generation and under sourced—with hands-on experience while helping companies build diverse talent pipelines.
Launch Your Career with a Paid Internship through Project Onramp!
Are you a college student looking for a paid internship in the life sciences industry? Project Onramp helps under-resourced students break into biotech, pharma, and healthcare through hands-on experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
Application Deadline: April 30, 2025
Project Onramp is a paid summer internship program designed to create a more diverse talent pipeline in life sciences. The program eliminates barriers for under-sourced students by providing:
Hands-on experience at leading life sciences companies
One-on-one mentorship from industry professionals
Networking opportunities to build career connections
Professional development workshops to enhance skills
Internship Details:
Duration: 8–12 weeks (Summer only)
Pay: $20+/hour (30–40 hrs/week)
Support: Mentorship & career development sessions
Who Can Apply?
Undergraduate students pursuing a 4-year degree
Must provide proof of Pell Grant eligibility (if selected)
Must commit full-time (no summer classes or other jobs)
Housing is not provided
